Dial a Ride is a service offered by the City of Solana Beach that aims to provide affordable transportation to low-income residents who are unable to operate a motor vehicle and/or use public transportation due to their physical limitations from advanced age or disability.
Applicants must be legal residents of the City of Solana Beach, must be 65 years old and older, or are receiving social security retirement or equivalent benefits, physically disabled, or have a specific gross income/household size ratio.
Eligible participants will be able to purchase one taxi voucher booklet every month. Each booklet can be bought for $7.50 and has a total value of $20. These are non-transferrable and may only be used with eligible taxi service providers working together with the City including Courtesy Cab (which can be contacted at (858) 755-3730) and Yellow Cab (which can be contacted at (760) 722-4214 or at (619) 234-6161).
Interested parties can get their application forms at the front desk of the City Hall. These can also be acquired through mail or email.
